It's really nice of you to do that for your friend!

You can decorate with balloons and streamers. Do it in the colors of her favorite colors, pick 2-3 this way you don't have too many to deal with. Use those colors to get balloons and cluster them around the party, get streamers, tablecloths, plates, napkins, etc.

I would take advatage of the nice weather and do the party outside during the day. Set up a volleyball and play volleyball and badmitten.
You can do relay races with potato sack races (use old pillowcases), three legged races, etc.

You can get an inflatable kiddie pool, fill it with water, break into 2 teams and have a tug of war, the losing teams ends up in the pool!

You can do a bbq and serve hamburgers and hot dogs with some toppings. Lettuce, tomatos and ketchup for the burgers and mustard and suarkrut for the hot dogs. You can also do baked beans and french fries with some salads.

Go with your friend's favorite food though, if she would rather have pizza, go with pizza, if she likes tacos, have a taco bar. If you know she likes cookouts though, do the bbq! You can also do macorini and potato salad.

You can also set up an ice cream bar. Get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and whatever her favorite is and some toppings. Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cherries, and let everyone make their own sundaes. You can go to the dollar store and get the tall plastic sundae glasses or at the grocery store they have the waffle cone bowls.

You can also do a watermelon eating contest or a pie eating contest, but instead of pie, fill the tins with whipped cream, whoever finishes first, wins!

You can also hang Happy Birthday banners around the Birthday area. I'm sure whatever you do, she is going to love!

You can also get a pinata in a summer theme and fill it with tons of different candy.

For her cake you can make her a 3 tiered cake and ice it in her favorite colors. Find out her favorite flavor of cake and make it. If she likes chocolate cake, make her that and then you can ice the cake and layer it (use dowels to hold the tiers up) and that will make her really feel special, or make her a sheet cake.

If the party's going into the evening, hang some clear, stringed Christmas lights through the trees and around the party area, it will make the area feel special and you won't have the overhead blaring lights as you hang out with her and your friends during the party.

If you want to do an indoor party, you can do a movie theme, and set up a red carpet or fabric so as everyone enters, they're entering the red carpet and you take their pictures.

Then hang up a white sheet, which is a backdrop for pictures. Go out and get some props like boas, sunglasses, etc, and everyone pose in front of the sheet with each other and the props. Have fun with it and you'll love the pictures!

Go to Blockbuster and get those cardboard popcorn buckets and microwave popcorn and the big boxes of candy. At movie time everyone gets their own bucket of popcorn and pass around the candy to share.

After the movie is the "after" party where you eat, do the ice cream bar and cake.

You can also go to the crafts store and get those blank frames that have to be decorated and you and your friends can decorate them, they then take them home and have something to put their favorite pictures in from the party!

If you don't want to do a party at your house, do you have a Dave and Buster's nearby? You can go there with your friends and have someone bring her there and then hang out there for an afternoon and do lunch and cake there and back to your house for a sleepover.

You can also take her out to a nice restuarant. Somewhere you don't normally go. Have everyone get dressed up and go to a nice place, and have someone bring her there and surprise her there.

You can also do a dinner party at your house. You can send out or cook the meal with your mom from appetizers to dessert, and set the table in a formal manner with a cloth tablecloth and cloth napkins and do a sit down dinner party for her birthday.

What is hummus?

I recently watched the movie Don't Mess With The Zohan and the food hummus was used very often. What is hummus made of? And What does it taste like?

Best Answer

It's made of chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and some salt and pepper. It's like a dip or a spread.

It's almost like the consistency of a dry peanut butter -- not lumpy at all as the previous person posted. She's obviously had some bad hummus.

You can have it on chips, crackers, or as the base for a sandwich instead of mayo or mustard.

It's quite delicious!

Did you know that plastic circles come o

I was just drinking a bottle of coke and realized that there are little plastic circles that come out of the cap. Isn't that a choking hazard if they were to fall into the coke and a person swallowed it without realizing it was floating in there?

Best Answer

They require a little digging to get them out ans the are unlikely to fall into the bottle as they have a larger diametre than the opening, so they seal the top of the bottle.
